Mendoza :: 30.01.2008 - 01.02.2008

After the 6 hour bus trip from Santiago across the Andes in the early afternoon we arrived to Mendoza. This town at the bottom of the Andes is famous for extraordinary wines. Unfortunately we missed to visit a cellar…Our next destination were the Andes. A highlight was the view at the Aconcagua (the highest mountain outside the Himalaya) and visited the ancient border crossing between Argentina and Chile at 4200 meter above sea level.
